RIGHTS AND DUES

I took my lifeless armored coat away I left my lively self exposed again Sometime I think I'm gonna earn my rightfull due But then everybody wants it too It's what everybody wants to do I saw my wisest course was hope today I let my doubts and sorrow float away Sometime I guess they'll come to harm my life anew Then again if they know what to do And again if they know what to do I thought in life we'd have the time And come what may I'd understand If I cry I'd just say that it's all right But then again if I asked you Would you ever give me extra lovin' I took my“life is long" control away I thought“Why not let go and live to say" In time I guess I'm gonna find out what to do And whatever that I want to do Is whatever that I'll have to do I took my licence on the motorway I left my bicycle and drove away So why, before I'd learned to shift from one to two Did I have to bump into you Did I have to run into you I told a lie but at the time It seemed to be a subtle gain Should've told me after all is said and done It's not the same Should've told you that I really meant to say I love you I took my lifeless armored coat away I sense that life was meant to do things I thought my wisest course was hope today I guess that life is full of good things Sometime I guess I'm gonna earn my rightfull do That's what everybody wants to do And what everybody has to do And what everybody has to do And what everybody has to do And what everybody has to do
